#25 – Mazemaker

The Mazemaker is a Modular Machine consisting of 3 types of elements: a rhomboidal grid (the floor), in each node of which there is a hole; 36 pegs, each with 6 vertical grooves, which can be inserted into the holes in the floor; a series of honeycomb polycarbonate panels, to be fitted between peg and peg.
Through these elements it is possible to create many different paths, either in the form of a simple articulated space (with bottlenecks, widenings, etc.) or in the form of a labyrinth (an entrance and an exit or an entrance and a focal point).
The panels, which are partially translucent and colored so as to increase the sense of depth (but also bewilderment), have holes that serve both as peepholes and as handles during the assembly.
